Top 3 Non-Alcoholic Cocktails to Try in Lake Louise

As an increasing number of people are tuning into their mental and physical health, they are also opting to cut down on boozy beverages. Move over Shirley Temples and lemonade, our bartenders can whip up mocktail masterpieces that look and taste just as good as alcohol-based cocktails.

Our head bartender at Fairview Bar and Restaurant, Nils, has created three special fall-inspired non-alcoholic cocktails that are delicious, refreshing and full of flavor. Pull up a chair and sip on these classy creations this fall at one of our restaurants at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. There’s plenty to love about them and the best part is you don’t have to worry about hangover.

Lemon Meadow

"The Lemon Meadow is a beautiful harmony between citrus and sweetness. The citrus flavor comes from the Seedlip Grove, which is the main ingredient, and there are also hints of lemongrass and sansho peppercorn," says Nils. "Lemon oleo is not something you come across very often in the bartending world. It's a naturally lemon-flavored liquid that is the result of sugar and lemon peel marinating for at least five hours."

Ingredients: 2 oz Seedlip Grove 0.75 oz Lemon Oleo 0,75 oz Lemon Juice 2 Drops Saline Solution (1:10 Salt:Water)

Directions: - Shake all ingredients for at least 10 seconds and double strain into a Nik & Nora glass. - Twist a lemon zest over the drink to spray the oils over the surface.

Pairs well with the Bruschetta and Foie Torchon appetizers at Fairview Bar and Restaurant.

Luscious Carnival

"The Luscious Carnival is the most fruit-forward mocktail of the three. It's very flavourful and the garnish gives it a creaminess and freshness. The white cranberry juice is made here at The Chateau," says Nils. If you've had a cosmopolitan before, this is like a less sweeter version. It's delicious."

Ingredients: - 2 oz Dried Cucumber, All Spice, & Hibiscus Ice Tea - 0.75 oz Lime Juice - 3 oz White Cranberry Juice - 0.5 oz Simple Syrup

Directions: - Add all the ingredients into a highball glass and give it a quick stir to combine. - Top it up with ice and garnish with dried cucumber and hibiscus flower.

Best enjoyed with the Elk Carpaccio at Fairview Bar and Restaurant.

Garten G&T

"If you love G&Ts but want to cut out the alcohol, this is your drink. The Garten G&T is dry and refreshing but tastes like gin because of the addition of the Seedlip Garden mix," says Nils.

Ingredients: - 2 oz Seedlip Garden - Fever Tree Indian Tonic

- 1 rosemary sprig - Raisins - 1/2 grapefruit slice

Directions: - Pour Seedlip into a white wine glass, add ice cubes, top up with Fever Tree Indian Tonic and garnish with 1 rosemary sprig, raisins and 1/2 grapefruit slice.

We hope you can enjoy these beverage on your next visit to the heart of Banff National Park. Cheers!
